Sticky: What is Truth?
Welcome to TheConfessors.com where Christians can come together to deal with such questions as, "does truth exist?"
When we say we believe Christ is God, because: "He rose from the dead" or "He commanded the elements" we are making an apologetic statement. Apologetics is to give reason for the faith within you. We all make apologetics statements every day, about many things. Apologetics does not mean to be sorry for believing in Christ, quite the contrary. It mean to explain or defend your belief. The term comes from the Greek word apologia (απολογία), meaning defense of a position against an attack.
In our days the attack on Christianity is relentless, whether at school, at work, at play, or in the media. People are often confronted with very cleverly devised schemes, from anti-Christians. Of course since Christ is truth, then none of their attacks can truly defeat Him. The aim is to arm Christians in their hearts and mind against these attacks, to enable them to be able to present Christ in a loving way in a world that openly rejects him.
We would love to hear from you, please comment on the posts you find here.
Lastly, we encourage you questions. Please tell us the most difficult question you may have with Christianity or have been asked by a non-Christian and we will do our best to answer it. Be sure to include your email so we can send you the answer, it will also be answered here. Ask your question here.

Jul 4: Is Darwinism humanism masquerading as Science?
This is George again. I wanted to see if I could get you
to comment on my observation that evolutionary belief is in actual fact
humanism masquerading as science. I wanted to get your thought on that.
Dear George,
Yes!
Darwin admited in his diaries from the voyage on
the Beagle. Then he was a believer in God until the ship reached the
southern latitudes of the world, by that time the mocking of the
officers had driven him into despair.

Jun 29: Relativism is true, because of diversity
Often relativists will say that because of so many differant views about truth, that the only real truth is relativism. In their minds this sloves the hard work of picking the real truth, and living up to it. However, they still embrace many things as objective truths, such as murder, rape, stealing from poor people, womens rights, abortion, aninmal rights, etc. If you attack any one of those then will become upset. Thus they are only relativists with Christian truths, and not with their own truths. One of the supports they claim is "many truths"

I recently received an e-mail from a good friend of mine who is concerned for a good friend of his. He asked me to respond to his friends claim that he could practice Scientology and still be a Christian. Both of them were Orthodox Christians to be specific. The basis of Scientology is atheism and materialism, however people believe they can use some of the teachings of Scientology to make them better Christians. This is the problem that will be talked about in the following letter.

"In 1994, there was speculation that there might be a southern ice cap on the moon — something our exploration of it could take advantage of. Unfortunately, recent evidence has come to light revealing that this probably isn't true."
From the article:
"If there is any ice at the South Pole, it probably comes from tiny, scattered grains that probably account for only one or two percent of the local dust, the authors suggest.

Oct 2: The Greatest Pagan Converts to Christ
Hieromartyr Cyprian, Virgin Martyr Justina and Martyr Theoctistus suffered for Christ at Nicomedia in the year 304. St. Cyprian was a pagan and a native of Antioch. From his early childhood his misguided parents dedicated him to the service of the pagan gods. From age seven until thirty, Cyprian studied at the most outstanding centers of paganism: on Mount Olympus, in the cities of Argos and Tauropolis, in the Egyptian city of Memphis, and at Babylon. How an educator can control the human mind by dividing it:
By teaching two systems of thought which are contrary to each other, the human mind is forced, into a corner. Either it must reject one of the systems of thought in order to except the other, or it loses its ability to think correctly then must rely on others for interpretation of life.
